Cam2cam (C2C) turns a one-way cam show into a two-way video call — the model can see you, not just the other way around. This guide covers exactly how it works, which platforms support it, what it costs, and how to set it up.

Standard cam shows are one-directional: the model broadcasts, viewers watch. Cam2cam adds a second video stream going the other direction — the viewer's webcam feed is shared with the model during a private session.
Technically, cam2cam uses WebRTC (the same technology as video calls in your browser). The viewer's webcam stream is sent directly to the platform's servers and relayed to the model's screen. No additional software is required — it works entirely in the browser on most major platforms.
Key limitation: Cam2cam is only available in private shows, never in free public rooms. The viewer must be in a paid one-on-one (or exclusive) private session for C2C to be available.
Check your webcam works
Any modern laptop webcam works. For desktop, you need a USB webcam. Test it in your browser by going to Settings → Privacy → Camera and verifying the browser has permission to access it.
Start a private show on the cam site
C2C is only available in private shows. Find a model, start a private session. On some platforms (Chaturbate) you initiate private from within the model's room. On others (LiveJasmin) you request it via the interface.
Enable cam2cam in the private session
Look for a camera icon or 'Enable C2C' button in the private show interface. On Chaturbate it appears as a small camera icon in the bottom bar of the private show player. Click it to start broadcasting your cam.
Grant camera permission if prompted
Your browser will ask for camera permission the first time. Click Allow. If you accidentally denied it, go to your browser address bar, click the lock icon, and reset camera permissions for the site.
Confirm the model can see you
After enabling, check that the model acknowledges your cam is on. Some models will verbally confirm it. If the stream doesn't connect, try refreshing and re-enabling.

Screen recording software could capture your cam stream. Most models don't do this, and cam sites prohibit it in their terms of service, but it is technically possible. Assume any video you share could potentially be saved.
Only the model can see your cam
Your cam stream in a private show is only visible to the model you are in a private show with. Other viewers in public rooms cannot see it. The platform does not publicly display viewer cams.
Use a virtual background for anonymity
Most webcam software (including OBS Virtual Camera) supports virtual backgrounds. A neutral background or blur hides your environment and reduces identifiable details.
Your IP and location are visible to the platform
The cam site knows your IP address regardless of whether you use C2C. If you want location anonymity, use a VPN before connecting to the site — not just during C2C.
As a model, enabling cam2cam in your private shows significantly increases booking rate and tip amounts. Viewers feel a stronger connection when the interaction is two-way — studies on the cam industry consistently show C2C-enabled rooms earn 20–40% more per private show hour.
Always enable C2C in your settings
On Chaturbate, go to your broadcaster settings and ensure cam2cam is enabled. Some models accidentally leave it off and lose bookings.
You can decline C2C for specific viewers
If a viewer activates C2C and you are uncomfortable for any reason, you can close the C2C panel on your end. You are not obligated to watch the viewer's cam.
On LiveJasmin, C2C increases your earnings
Since LiveJasmin charges the viewer extra for C2C, a portion of that surcharge goes to the model. Enabling it always increases your per-minute rate.
Viewer cams do not show to your audience
In private shows, the viewer's cam is only visible to you (the model). Public viewers cannot see the viewer's cam.
